The traditions govern all aspects of social life. Some people think that they can do a lot of good. Others believe that they can prevent scientific and technological progress.
          In my opinion, traditions are very useful. To begin with, they are based on the norms of morality. Their purpose is to control people’s life and not to allow them to do bad things.  Secondly, some traditions are very entertaining to forget about them. For example, all the people I know are fond of celebrating their birthdays and New Year’s Day.
          On the other hand, there are those who think that some traditions can hinder progress. They believe that some people who follow traditions cannot keep up with life. For instance, our grandmothers and grandfathers do not know how to use online banking that is why they pay for utilities as usual, in a conventional way by going to the bank.
          I cannot agree or disagree with this opinion. I think that we cannot talk about all traditions in general. We have to consider them separately. Some traditions are useless and some are very valuable.
          In conclusion, I am strongly convinced that we ought not to forget about the morality traditions but if we are talking about old school manners it is necessary to decide if they are convenient for the modernity or not.
