Some people think that English should be the only foreign language taught at our school. Others believe that German, French and Spanish should continue.
          In my opinion, pupils around the world must study English only. First of all, due to the fact that the English language is considered to be global, it seems reasonable to study English only at schools. People from different parts of the world speak English. And if you can speak it too you will not have any problems in communicating with someone from a foreign country. Secondly, English is easier than many other languages. German, for instance, has many grammatical difficulties which can be not easy to deal with. Moreover, it is better to make the most of studying English at school that learn other languages that are not so practical for your future life.
          On the other hand, there are those who think that teenagers should study other foreign languages at school. They believe that it will do much good for them because some people in Spain, for example, do not speak English, and if you are a tourist and know some Spanish expressions it will help you much.
          I totally disagree with this opinion. I think that foreign language must be useful. As tourists we deal with people working at the hotels or at the shops. Employers in these spheres speak English so that they can communicate with foreigners and sell their product. Besides, it is impossible to master a lot of languages.
          In conclusion, I am strongly convinced that there must be the only foreign language at school – English. It is the most widespread language which is spoken in most of the countries around the world.
